The lightning fast and always thrilling River Cities Speedway was up next for the Big Game Treestands #7 team on Friday.  With more World of Outlaws victories at the tight bullring than anyone else, Dollansky made his tenth appearance at the Grand Forks, North Dakota facility where he swept the two-day show last June.

With the potential for nine second laps around the 4/10-mile oval, qualifying got underway with Dollansky piloting the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim to 13th fastest at 10.882 seconds among the 35 other drivers.  In heat #1, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ started on the pole and led all 10 circuits to earn a spot in the dash.  The luck of the draw by way of an eight pill put the MobileStar #7 on the outside pole for the dash where Dollansky lost a few positions and finished 6th.

In the 40-lap A-Main the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products backed sprinter started outside row three.  Following two cautions in the early going of the main event, Dollansky ran seventh by lap 2 and lost one more spot before a lap 15 red.  The Elk River, Minnesota native then used a great restart to rocket up to sixth until another caution two circuits later.  The remaining 23 laps would stay clean and green as Dollansky went where the competition didn’t, pounding the cushion to motor up to 3rd.  As the top two cars worked the bottom through lapped traffic ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ was right there but couldn’t quite steal the runner-up spot from Steve Kinser before the checkered flag flew.

“Typical Grand Forks racing it’s some of the best in the country,” commented Dollansky.  “We weren’t operating the way we would have liked but to come home third with the MobileStar car, Big Game Treestands, Aggressive Hydraulics, Aeroquip, and everyone that supports this race team it’s a great finish.  The track was in good shape, it was pretty racy and we tried different places on the track.  It’s a great run and hopefully the fans enjoyed the show, you get some of the best racing in the country at Grand Forks.”

The Big Game Treestands #7 team will now travel down I-29 to Red River Valley Speedway in Fargo on Saturday.
